We’ve added a new team member! Meet Localist Account Executive Grey Gyllenhaal. Check out her story below.
When I first saw the the Localist product I immediately thought, I wish my school had an events calendar like that when I was in college! The only way I found out about events in college was through friends. I believe I could have gotten way more out of my college experience if I had a way to actually find out about all the exciting things going on on my campus.
I now get to sell a product that I really believe in and feel there’s such a great need for it. It’s so exciting to be a part of a team that’s on the verge of something really great.
Before joining the Localist team, I worked at another D.C. startup called Contactually. In two short years I witnessed the company grow from just 15 employees to over 50. I got the chance to experience many sales roles – from an Inside AE to managing a sales development team. At Contactually I found a love for the startup world, which I’m happy to continue here at Localist.
A Little More About Me
Outside of work I can be found exploring D.C. with my trusty pal Bo (pictured below) or hiking outside of the city. I love being active and try to spend as much time as possible outdoors. I have a love of music which probably came from attending music festivals before I was able to walk. During my college days, I sang in an acapella group and I’ve recently taken up the Mandolin.
I graduated from the University of Maryland in 2013 with a double major in Marketing and Operations Management. After a brief stint in the world of Finance at Morgan Stanley, I found myself in the exciting world of startups.
Welcome to the team Grey!
