Let’s face it: we all grew up with paper wall and desk calendars arranged in the traditional 30-day grid, and nostalgia is a crucial factor in any technological innovation. As a throwback to those analog calendars of yore, we’re excited to announce our new 50-box calendar grid view, now standard on every Localist calendar!
Why 50 boxes? Any calendar can do 30 boxes. That’s easy. We wanted to push ourselves to do more. Because more is better. But why should your calendar be constrained by the layout of the month or visual and design considerations? We’re throwing caution (and design best practices) to the wind in a quest to ensure our customers get not just the 10,000 foot view but the 190,000 foot view of all the events happening at your organization.
With this new grid view, you’ll get:
- A typographical list of all events happening each day, crammed into each box in efficient 2pt font.
- No images, navigation buttons, or useful information cluttering up your event text
- “Economy” grid format with no customization options
- “Coral” coloration on random events
- …and much more!
Bonus: launch a new Localist calendar in April of 2017 and we’ll send you a magnifying glass for free to view even more events at once on your new grid calendar.
Not sure if this is the right move for you or your calendar? Take our new 50-box grid view for a test drive this April! We can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with (but we might need that magnifying glass back to do so).
Oh, and, by the way…Happy April Fools Day!
