You’ve heard the saying “a picture is worth a thousand words” — well, we feel the same way about maps! Maps center website visitors in real-space, and give them a clear idea of where an event is held and where it might be in relation to other locations of interest. That’s why we encourage the inclusion of maps on every event listing here at Localist.
Previously we only included Google Maps on our event pages. However our customers have spoken and we listened – they wanted their CampusBird map included on their event listing. Well, now they can.
What does this mean for you?
If you’re a CampusBird customer (or looking to become one), you’ll now be able to choose between using Localist’s standard Google Map layout in your event listing or your custom 3D CampusBird rendering of your map in the same space.
Your viewers will see an attractive, 3D representation of your campus right in the event feed, without having to go to two separate websites to get the full effect. Plus, the CampusBird map is interactive, so you can get walking directions by placing the start and finish icons at your desired locations. What’s not to love?
Want to implement this?
The CampusBird map is mobile-friendly and will tie right into your existing Localist calendar. If you’re a higher education customer who already works with CampusBird or would like to know more about either product, talk to us about how to implement today.
